This is my art history project- I chose to mimic Van Gogh's photographs. Looking at them right away you probably think this looks nothing like Van Gogh's paintings, well all the pictures I took that looked like Van Gogh's paintings- the tutorials did not work on them :\ But Van gogh does have a ton of impressionism paointings of sailboats and sunsets so I thought these would work (: So editing wise I created three
layers and applied a
watercolor/impressionism painting technique. I used several filters like
artistic cutout,
artistic dry brush, and
noise median. I also changed the layer levels to
lumonosity,
screen, and
soft lighting. I had a hard time with this project but I think it's a cool idea!
