3- Social commentaries can be very controversial.

  -used to show the upper-class what was really going on in society.

  -used as an intermediary to understand social issues through art.

2- Jacob A. Riis’s photo depicting 2 poor little boys sitting in an alley. It was so clearly depicted with not having much going on.

  -David LaChapelle’s “My House” I think that there are so many ways that this could be depicted to do with society, before reading it I thought that it was the mom wearing a long dress and the daughter wearing a short dress to show how people are dressing less and less modest as the years go on.
