For my power of place project I went for an old forgotten or nostalic theme. I used old kodak photos of me from my childhood to help portray the differences of however many years ago it was and what the places around my home look like today. When editing my photos I used the magic wand tool to select the old photos and then by using my photo tutorial technique: retro colors, I was able to give these photos an older look. I was really going for a before and after effect. I really want my viewers to be compelled to go back and remenice about their childhood, or just forgotten memories when they see my photos.
