I really liked the tiny town tutorial! It was quick and easy, and I think it looks really cool!

I think this makes my picture look cool and I thought the tutorial was really easy to follow. To make a picture look lomo you need to select a vingette, and then create a fake cross processing effect. I had never toggeled with the channels before or curves so I learned a lot from this tutorial. The only problem I had was that my picture was really white in the top left so the vingette did not go all the way around. I tried after to do a lenz correction, distort, vingette but it didnt look the same sooo I just put it back to this. Next time I would do it to a different picture with objects all around the picture.

The tiny town tutorial was fun and cute. It was really easy to follow and I liked the turn out. It really does look like a little beach.

Jlo Studio 3 Non-Traditional

I chose to use a viewfinder as my nontradtional display because this hold a lot of childhood memories and ecperiences for me. I would play with these all the time I had every different disney reel you could find and I had a case for all my reels and my actual viewfinder itself. I wanted to mix the new digital with the old film to show the benefits of film. With the film, the images were much sharper apposed to the new digital transparencies. The digital transparencies are a lot more fuzzy and more pixelated. I thought of the digital pictures as being fragments of different childhood memories I've had. All of my pictures are of places or things you can still identify with yet they're still very obscure and abstract. I also like that it is for individual eyes. You cannot have more then one person at a time looking through this. Everyone's experience is different and I like that you wont be able to tell other people's reactions like you would if you were viewing a normal picture.

I liked this tutorial a lot. I think the picture turned out cool. It's kind of confusing because I haven't used some of the tools before like the channels tab but I figured it out. :) I would probably do this effect again in the future.

Jackie Adamle Late Choice Shoot

For my choice shoot I shot so flowers would look like skirts. To edit these photos I had to add a vingette and adujst the brightness and contrast I also had to make the photo sepia tone and adjust the opacity of the layers. I like how they turned out I think... Sorry there late

Nina Antonik - Late Choice

Someone had done a close-ups in nature shoot and I thought that would be interesting. I liked how for this project, there were so many different textures that could be found. These pictures didn't need much editing because they all have a pretty simple subject. Things I did do to the pictures was I cropped a couple to better fit the rule of thirds while on others, it gave the picture a certain balance. In most of them, I messed around with the hue and saturation because the colors of the subject were too strong or not strong enough. I also burned in some of the pictures.

This is my tiny town picture. I didn't really like this tutorial because it was hard for me to even find a picture this would work with. I think it would be better if this was a project we shot for or even if you just showed an example in beginning of semester so we could be shooting some like that in all our projects so by the time we did it we had some options.

This is late because I was absent. For my choice shoot I decided to make it focused on color. I enjoyed it because I was able to get creative and discover cool stuff like how water can sit as little bubble-like things on crayon. I used the rule of thirds on all of them so the photos are more interesting and it adds to the composition when everything isn't dead center. I increased the vibrance and contrast so there would be more emphasis on the colors and draw your attention to them. On the pencil photo I used gaussian blur to put the focus on the area where the pencils come together.

I didn't really like this tutorial very much. I don't know if I'll ever use it in the future because I don't usually take pictures of buildings. I think it turned out kind of cool though. I think it could be useful to make pictures of houses and buildings more interesting.

Madeleine Roskuszka- CHOICE!

I shot these pictures with my new Camera! So I was kind of just messing around, with all of the settings and depth of field.  I was going for the theme locks, paths, doors.... so kind of like unlocking a new part of your life or following a path or going through a new door! I had to crop the images and then used a highpass and overlay filters. I also desaturated one of the images, and increased the brightness and contrast!

Extreme Close Up Studio 3 JLo

For my extreme close up project I chose to shoot gymnastics and the equipment. For all my photos I changed them to Black and White. I changed the Brightness and the Contrast to all my photos as well. On the photos with the hands in it I chose to add a Vingette to them. I wanted to have the images show the gymnasts getting ready to compete and actually on the event. I did this by taking pictures of the equipment like they were looking at it before they were about to go, I shot them in the chalk bowl preparing to go onto the event and then I shot them on the actual event. Madeleine Roskuszka- Light up People (in-place of immposibilities...ik, SUPER late but it was giving me trouble!)

I shot these pictures in all different places. Some in Chicago, Wheaton and in the studio. Inorder to create a good compisition I had to crop and adjust the image size to make these fit together and look natural. I also deasturated these pictures and I had to increase the contrast and brightness because I shot these photos at night. Lastly I combined the layers and used a lighting/glow effect in photoshop.

I am posting two images, I will post another project in place of this for Extra- Credit but I currently have no more pictures to use for this!

My close-ups consist of things outside. For editing i tried to keep it simple so i used brightness & contrast. I also used gaussian blur to ephasize and focus in on objects in the photo. Lastly I used saturation and hue to make the colors more vibrant.
