Studio Lighting

In this project we learned how to do new types of studio lighting. The first type we learned was butterfly, where it showed your cheekbones (almost in the shape of a butterfly, hence the name). We also learned rembrant, which you can tell by the shadows and a triangle shape under one eye. Another we learned was loop where you can see a shadow of a loop under the nose and off to one side. The last we learned was split where half of the face is shadowed. These studio lightings showed me how to make a better composition and a new way to shoot people in the studio based on their facial structure.

  1. 2nd pic-weird expression for split lighting. 3rd pic blurry, 4th dark
